Gladskin introduces new eczema cream

Gladskin announces the launch of its over-the-counter eczema topical in the U.S, which features the company’s patented Micreobalance technology.

Early this year, Gladskin announced the U.S. launch of their new eczema cream, which was previously chosen as Europe’s most relevant innovation of 2018.

"Understanding the frustrations that most people with eczema go through every day, and the endless efforts they put forth to find a safe and effective treatment, we're excited to finally bring our patented endolysin science to the 30 million Americans suffering from eczema," says Skyler Stein, president of Gladskin USA.

According to the press release, the product supports a healthy skin microbiome by utilizing the company’s Micreobalance protein, which simultaneously balances and moisturizes the skin to prevent and reduce eczematous flare ups.

The non-prescription, hypoallergenic topical contains no preservatives, steroids, fragrances or alcohols. It has been clinically proven to be safe and effective in reducing eczema redness and itch in persons 3 months and older, says the release.

"A perfectly designed tool, or in this case a product like Gladskin, is going to bring important aspects to anyone who has eczema. Be it a baby with the most delicate, sensitive skin or an adult with thick, leathery skin from a lifetime of inflammation and damage," says Peter Lio, M.D., assistant clinical professor of dermatology and pediatrics at Northwestern University School of Medicine and scientific advisory board member for the National Eczema Association.

Currently, the cream is dermatologist recommended and accepted by the National Eczema Association, according to the company.

Gladskin, a eczema-based skincare company, was created when Martin Loessner, M.D., a professor in the department of health sciences and technology laboratory at the ETH Zurich University in Switzerland, discovered that endolysin proteins are vital in upholding a healthy skin microbiome, proving vital in the search for eczema symptom relief.

"Gladskin is going to help restore the skin barrier with moisturization, it's going to help rebalance the microbiome, and it's not going to cause damage because it's preservative-free. This is not something I can say about any other product on the market,” says Dr. Lio.
