Chicago - Compensation for some U.S. medical specialties - including dermatology - showed double-digit increases from 2004 to 2006, United Press International reports.

The median total cash compensation levels for neurosurgery and pathology increased by more than 25 percent, while anesthesiology, radiology and dermatology showed 15 percent increases, according to a survey of 264 healthcare organizations employing 37, 213 healthcare workers.

The survey was conducted by Sulliver, Cotter and Associates.
