July 1st 2006San Francisco - In general, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) - a low-grade lymphoma that typically presents in or on the skin - can be hard to diagnose, according to Jacqueline M. Junkins-Hopkins, M.D., assistant professor, University of Pennsylvania Health System's department of dermatology, Philadelphia.

July 1st 2006Cleveland - "At Face Value," written by Dermatology Times Senior Editor Karen Donley-Hayes, appeared in the June 21, 2006, issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA, Vol.295, No. 23, 2701-2702). A story spurred by the essay was also published on Heathday.com, and Ms. Donley-Hayes was interviewed for the University of Kentucky's Dr. Greg Davis on Medicine program, which aired on WUKY 91.3 FM UK Public Radio.
So many meetings, so little time
July 1st 2006Dozens of meeting and learning opportunities are offered to dermatologists every year. The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) has its national meetings, then a variety of regional, state and local societies put on their programs, shared interest groups have meetings and commercial enterprises offer educational experiences. Add to those international gatherings - and doctors could conceivably never go into their offices.
