What To Expect at Maui Derm Hawaii's Annual Meeting

Welcome to Maui! Dermatologists from all over the country converge today in Maui for the start of the highly anticipated Maui Derm Conference at the Grand Wailea on Maui. George Martin, MD, FAANS, is the founder and program chairman of the internationally recognized dermatology meeting.

Maui Derm’s yearly lectures, panel discussions and workshops are designed to bridge the ever-growing knowledge gap by giving attendees an in-depth look at topics, vital to the field of dermatology. This year has a new look and format, and faculty will present new material on many topics including medical, cosmetic, coding and billing and CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) certification. George Martin, MD, FAANS, is the founder and program chairman of the internationally recognized dermatology meeting and provided some insight into the conference and what attendees can expect.

Hi, I'm George Martin. I'm the program director for Maui Derm. We have a series of meetings and the original flagship meeting, Maui Derm on Maui, was founded in 2005, as a non-infomercial alternative to the current meeting landscape, and over time we've grown the meeting. Because of the tremendous demand by nurse practitioners and PAs in the dermatology space, we have expanded to include NPPA meetings and we're excited. Coming up in Maui, we'll have 52 speakers, and we expect over 500 healthcare providers in dermatology to attend, so we're very excited to host Maui Derm Hawaii at the end of January, the dates are January 23rd to the 27th.
