WDS honors Janet G. Hickman, M.D. with Rose Hircshler award
San Francisco - The Women's Dermatologic Society (WDS) recently awarded Lynchburg, Va.-based dermatologist Janet G. Hickman with the Rose Hirschler award, PRNewswire reports.

- The Womens Dermatologic Society announced Janet G. Hickman, M.D, as the recipient of the 2008 Rose Hirschler award at a luncheon during the recent American Academy of Dermatology meeting in San Antonio, Texas, PRNewswire reports.
Dr. Hickman, a dermatologist in private practice in Lynchburg, Va., was honored for her work in establishing the Womens Dermatologic Society Foundation in 2004, which has led to grant funding for community service outreach projects and the creation of an endowment to ensure the future of WDS grant programs.
The annual award honors physicians who have made outstanding contributions to their dermatologic specialty, and who have enhanced the role of women in dermatology, according to PRNewswire.
