POLL: What Percent of Those With Hyperhidrosis Have Discussed Their Sweating With a Health Care Professional?

Click here to answer this week's poll for Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month.

Last week, our Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month poll challenged your knowledge of the prevalence of excessive sweating. We asked: What percent of the global population is estimated to have hyperhidrosis?

The correct answer: 4.8%, according to the International Hyperhidrosis Society. Despite how common hyperhidrosis is, it is estimated that 27% of those with the condition never receive a diagnosis.

Even more so, not everyone who experiences excessive sweating has shared their symptoms and experiences with a health care professional.

This Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month, Dermatology Times wants to hear from you. What percent of those with hyperhidrosis have discussed their excessive sweating with a health care professional?
