Transcript:

I'm Dr. Patty Farris, I'm a Derm Times advisory board member, and also on the clinical faculty at Tulane University. So, I spoke on the use of topical skin care with cosmetic procedures, a discipline we now refer to as integrated skin care. There's some great data suggesting that topical antioxidants and even peptide-containing cosmeceuticals can improve the healing time and the patient experience with procedures such as laser resurfacing. I also spoke on the use of various topicals with procedures like neurotoxin and filler. And again, there's some really nice data to suggest that using hyaluronic acid serums can improve the patient overall experience with injectables and they're even some specially formulated injectables that are designed to reduce erythema, reduce bruising and reduce swelling post-procedure. And then finally I spoke on body contouring, a really emerging and great piece of our cosmetic businesses as dermatologists. And again, there's some really nice data to suggest that using specially formulated cosmeceuticals can actually improve outcomes in patients undergoing body contouring procedures.
