Join Dermatology Times® in Discussing Childhood Acne

Here is what to expect from the “Getting to the Roots of Childhood Acne” live virtual webinar happening December 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Physicians and other health care providers have been talking about the need for a comprehensive assessment for treating the physical and psychological affects of acne in children and adolescents. Dermatology Times® listened. This knowledge gap was the driver behind the free “Getting to the Roots of Childhood Acne” live virtual webinar being held from 6:30 to 7:30 PM(Eastern Standard Time) Wednesday, December 15. 

Dermatology Times® gathered specialists in dermatology, pediatric dermatology, pediatrics, and pediatric psychology to identify the challenges of treating the medical and physiological aspects of acne, as well as its impact on patients' and their families' quailty of life.

The moderator of the event is Hilary Baldwin, MD, medical director of the Acne Treatment and Research Center in Brooklyn, New York. She is also the clinical associate professor of dermatology, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center and past president of the American Acne and Rosacea Society.

Panelists are:

  • Bernard A, Cohen, MD, professor of pediatrics and dermatology, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, and former director of pediatric dermatology and the laser program with extensive knowledge of cutaneous laser surgery.
  • Raegan Hunt, MD, PhD, chief of section, pediatric dermatology, Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas, and assistant professor of dermatology and pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine.
  • Sasha Jaquez, PhD, assistant professor in the Departments of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Pediatrics at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas (UT) in Austin, Texas, with knowledge of cutaneous laser surgery.
