In addition, she was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Skin Association in 2017.

His clinical interests include the treatment of vitiligo and other disorders of pigmentation, psoriasis, acne, atopic dermatitis, aesthetic safety in skin of color, and phototherapy. Dr. Desai is also the immediate past president of the Skin of Color Society and past president of the Texas Dermatological Society. He serves on the American Academy of Dermatology’s Board of Directors as well as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee.
