Unlicensed Florida osteopath Bach McComb injected himself, his girlfriend and another Florida couple with research-grade toxin in the incident.
All four survived, but were hospitalized for months. McComb later was sentenced to three years in prison.
Analysis of a 100-microgram vial of the toxin taken from the same lot as the one administered to the patients showed there was enough toxin to kill 14,286 people by injection, if disseminated evenly.
