Matthew J. Mahlberg, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon who specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer, laser surgery, and aesthetic dermatology. He recently served as President of the Colorado Dermatologic Society and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Colorado.

A Colorado native, Dr. Mahlberg received his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder as a Boettcher Scholar. After earning his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, he trained and served as Chief Resident in dermatology at the New York University Medical Center (NYU), one of the nation’s top academic dermatology centers. Dr. Mahlberg continued his training in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery and laser surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Matthew J. Mahlberg is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He has authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters in the areas of cutaneous oncology, reconstructive surgery, and aesthetic medicine. His work in the field of reconstructive surgery has been recognized by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and he was the recipient of a national award for his research in reconstructive surgery. He also is passionate about healthcare policy and serves as a Member of the Task Force on Health Care Costs and Quality for the Colorado Medical Society.

Lesley Clark-Loeser, MD, FAAD attended both undergraduate and medical school at the George Washington University. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital (UPHS) and then settled in New York City for the following six years. In New York City, Dr. Clark-Loeser completed her residency in Dermatology, as well as a two year fellowship in dermatopharmacology at the New York University School of Medicine. In addition, she trained for one year at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as a pigmented lesion fellow.

Dr. Clark-Loeser has authored and co-authored over 15 professional articles and book chapters. She has served as an investigator in more than 25 clinical trials.

While in private practice, her commitment to both peer, community and patient education continues. She giving lectures to her peers on advances in laser medicine and newly approved dermatologic therapies. Dr. Clark-Loeser feels strongly about both supporting and giving back to the community. Whether sitting on the Board of Directors of a community organization, lecturing to school age children about sun safety, volunteering in community projects or working in her practice, she is passionate about what she does.

Dr. Clark-Loeser is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, board certified since 2005. She maintains membership in the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, Broward Dermatologic Society, and is a member of the Davie Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Shah, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, in 2007. Dr. Shah completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. with an internship in internal medicine.

Prior to creating Clarus Dermatology, Dr. Shah started the dermatology department for HealthEast Clinics. He graduated magna cum laude from Ursinus College with departmental honors in Biology. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society and the Sigma Xi research honor society.

Dr. Shah is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Medical Association, a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is a former director of the Twin Cities Medical Society and prior member of the Policy Council for the Minnesota Medical Association. Currently he is the President of the Minnesota Dermatological Society as well as President of Doctors for the Practice of Safe and Ethical Aesthetic Medicine.

Dr. Shah’s clinical practice interests include skin cancer and reconstructive surgery, medical and cosmetic dermatology. He actively teaches family medicine residents from the North Memorial Hospital. In addition he remains involved with education of his peers in practice management and cutaneous surgery.
